If you have ever noticed  the clean fresh smell after a summer rain shower, this is ozone. Ozone is a natural cleaning agent and breaks down the contaminants in the water, so we are able to use a smaller amount of the other normal antibacterial agents, including chlorine.

There are many health and other benefits to using ozone in the pool which include a much reduced risk of skin and eye irritation as the level of additional chemicals required to cleanse the water is reduced; there is no chemical smell to permeate swimming costumes or in the air and no chemical aftertaste.
